GPS-System / MK-Tower

The MK-Tower

The MK-Tower consisting of the FlightCtrl, the NaviCtrl with compass and MKGPS.
It will always be established in the same order.

{i} The mounting with the new NaviCtrl2.0 and the MK-GPS2.1 are the same as with the old one. The only difference is, that you doesn't need the MK3Mag. This is now inlude with the new NaviCtrl!

Here the structure:

The FlightCtrl is mounted on four rubber (M3x15) with four spacers (M3x15 oderM3x10). The SMD components are showing up and the arrow pointing in flight direction forward.

The NaviCtrl with attached MK3Mag are mounted above the FlightCtrl with four spacers (M3x15). The 10 pin headers (NaviCtrl-SV8 <-> FlightCtrl-SV1) and the 6-pin headers (NaviCtrl-SV6 <-> FlightCtrl-SV5) have to be on top of each other.
(For connection to the KopterTool, plugged the MK-USB into the 10-pin "Debug" connector of the NaviCtrl.)

On top of the tower is the MK-GPS. Mount it with the LED in forward flight direction. The 5-pin MKGPS cable is plugged into the white Molex-connector on the NaviCtrl.

Finally, be connect the 10-pin and 6-pin connectors.

{i} Be sure that the tower does not affect the cap. If the tower is too high, shorter spacers should be installed.

assemble the cable

To assemble the 6-pin and 10-pin ribbon cable, proceed as follows.

Needed is a ~5cm long ribbon cable, 2x jack 6pol and 2x jack 10pol.
(to obtain a 6 pin cable, simply cut off 4 wires from one 10pin cable)

Now each jack can be crimped at the ends of the ribbon cable connector. The red side of the ribbon cable is the first on the connector. Is where the little arrow is.

Finally, rotated the jack and connect the strain relief. Done.
